FLOWERS BOUQUET
"Balthasar's Flowers Bouquet" is a homage to the Dutch flower painter Balthasar van der Ast (c. 1593/94 - 1657) , and other historical artists. The enchanting floral ornament was created using a digital collage from his painting "Still Life with Flowers" (c. 1625 - c. 1630) from the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. In addition, Elke incorporated other, individual flowers and insects from different historical paintings in the Getty Museum in Los Angeles into the design: four flowers by Hans Hoffmann (1582), a tulip with butterfly by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder, the oleander by Pieter Withoos (1691 ), a moth each by Maria Sibylla Merian (1679) and Nicolaas Struyck (1715). And finally, a butterfly and insects by an anonymous Dutch artist (ca. 1693) come from the Rijksmuseum.
As a background you can discover a simple ornament from her photographs of the copper plates of the ship's hull of the historic frigate Jylland (1860) in Ebeltoft, Denmark. If you look closely, you can see both the copper nails of the planking and the artist's brushstrokes on the wallpaper.
The color of the design can be changed at any time to suit your needs. The flowers and insects can also be rearranged to suit your interior project - just see the example below. And you can complement your flower wall very well with a simple wallpaper in the design "Jyllands Copper Hull".
„Balthasar's Flowers Bouquet“ ist eine Hommage an den niederländischen Blumenmaler Balthasar van der Ast (ca. 1593/94 – 1657) und weitere, historische Künstler. Das bezaubernde Blumenornament entstand anhand einer digitalen Collage aus seinem Gemälde „Stillleben mit Blumen“ (ca. 1625 – ca. 1630) aus dem im Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Zudem hat Elke weitere, einzelne Blumen und Insekten aus anderen historischen Gemälden des Getty Museums in Los Angeles in das Design eingearbeitet: Vier Blumen von Hans Hoffmann (1582), eine Tulpe mit Schmetterling von Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder, der Oleander von Pieter Withoos (1691), je einer Motte von Maria Sibylla Merian (1679) und Nicolaas Struyck (1715). Und zuletzt entstammen noch ein Schmetterling und Insekten eines anonymen niederländischen Künstlers (ca. 1693) aus dem Rijksmuseum.
Als Hintergrund kannst du ein schlichtes Ornament aus ihren Fotografien von den Kupferplatten des Schiffsrumpfs der historischen Fregatte Jylland (1860) im dänischen Ebeltoft entdecken. Wenn du nämlich genau hinschaust, erkennst du aus der Nähe auf der Tapete sowohl die Kupfernägel der Beplankung als auch die Pinselstriche des Künstlers.
Der Farbton des Designs kann jederzeit an deine Bedürfnisse angepasst werden. Auch die Blüten und Insekten können passend zu deinem Interieurprojekt neu arrangiert werden - schaue dir einfach das unten gezeigte Beispiel an. Und du kannst deine Blütenwand sehr gut mit einer schlichten Tapete im Design "Jyllands Copper Hull" ergänzen.

This time the background ornament was created from Elke's photos of an old, weathered wooden gate in Braunschweig. This is the original color in shades of blue.
Dieses Mal ist das Hintergrundornament aus Elkes Fotos von einem alten, verwitterten Holztor in Braunschweig entstanden. Es handelt sich hierbei um den Originalfarbton in Blaunuancen.

In this variant, Elke has added a parrot in the foreground by the Dutchman Aert Schouman (1720 - 1792) from the drawing "Two birds, including a red-green parrot". The two lizards, like the large basic bouquet, come from Balthasar van der Ast's painting “Still Life with Flowers” (ca. 1625 - ca. 1630). Both paintings are in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. In dieser Variante hat Elke im Vordergrund noch einen Papagei von dem Niederländer Aert Schouman (1720 - 1792) aus der Zeichnung "Zwei Vögel, worunter ein rot-gründer Papagei" hinzugefügt. Die beiden Echsen entstammen wie das große Basis-Bouquet dem Gemälde von Balthasar van der Ast aus seinem Gemälde „Stillleben mit Blumen“ (ca. 1625 – ca. 1630).
